Water Rights Evaluations

SWE has performed water rights evaluations of existing water rights as possible alternatives to supply. New uses are an integral part of western water resources development in settings where existing supplies are appropriated. Factors
important for the evaluations include the relative seniority of the water right,
historical use, location, dependability of the water source, reliance
on return flows by other water rights and current market activity.

Services provided by SWE related to water rights evaluations include:

· Quantification of historic use and yield

· Identification of alternative water rights to provide new sources of
supply

· Evaluation of institutional and administrative opportunities for water
rights transfers
